About ActiveCampaign

Where your automation carries the pipeline.

ActiveCampaign was founded in Chicago in 2003 by Jason VandeBoom and repositioned in the mid-2010s as a cloud platform for customer experience automation. It combines marketing automation, email, SMS, a workable sales CRM with deal pipelines, and a large integration catalogue. The company reports over one hundred thousand customers, mostly SMB and mid-market B2B and e-commerce teams that want serious automations without running a full HubSpot deployment.

The reason to pull ActiveCampaign into a warehouse is that its two halves live in the same tool but rarely agree in reporting. Automations create engagement, contact tags and deal movements. The sales side creates deals, custom fields and close dates. Next to Stripe charges, Shopify orders or the accounting system, the same automation gets a second number: how many deals it moved, how much revenue those deals carried, and which tags or custom fields correlate with faster closes.

What your ActiveCampaign data is for

What you get once ActiveCampaign is connected.

Reporting that follows the deal

Automation activity, tag history and deal movement on one timeline, tied to invoiced revenue.

  • Revenue per automation, per tag and per deal stage
  • Deal custom-field correlation with close rate and cycle time
  • List health, unsubscribe and engagement trend over twelve months

Cross-system automation

Let ActiveCampaign fire on signals the rest of your stack already produced.

  • Shopify order state updates ActiveCampaign tags and deal fields
  • Stripe subscription events trigger nurture or save sequences
  • Salesforce account moves rewrite ActiveCampaign segmentation

AI workflows

Turn years of automation and deal history into scoring that reshapes the next send.

  • Deal-win probability scoring from tag and custom-field history
  • Next-best-automation scoring per contact segment
  • Engagement-to-revenue scoring to prioritise sales follow-up

Custom apps on your data

Internal tools the ActiveCampaign UI does not ship, for the people who never log in.

  • Automation-ROI board with deal value per triggered flow
  • Tag-drift monitor for segmentation hygiene
  • Sales-rep cockpit with full contact and automation history

Real business questions

Answers you will finally get.

Which automation is really moving deals?

Triggered automations ranked by attributed deal value and deal count in the ninety days after entry. Separates the automation that produces pipeline from the one that only produces opens, and flags automations that look active but have not touched a won deal in a quarter.

Which deal custom fields predict a close?

Custom-field values correlated with historical win rate and cycle time per pipeline. Surfaces the handful of fields sales should keep filling in, and retires the ones that every rep ignores without cost to forecasting accuracy.

Are our tags still telling the truth?

Tag drift over twelve months next to engagement and revenue per tagged cohort. Highlights tags that were once meaningful but now sit on an audience that no longer behaves the way the tag implies.

Value for everyone in the organisation

Where each function gets value.

For finance leaders

Automation cost and campaign spend against attributed deal value and invoiced revenue. The marketing budget stops being defended on send volume and starts being defended on paid deals in the quarters after the send.

For sales leaders

Deal pipeline with automation touchpoints and tag history on each contact. Reps see which automation warmed the contact before the call, and which custom fields matter for the forecast.

For operations

List health, automation coverage and tag hygiene in one picture. Orphan tags, paused automations and stuck deals surface as data instead of as an audit finding six months later.

Ideas

What you can automate with ActiveCampaign.

Pair with Shopify

Ground ActiveCampaign automations in Shopify buying signal

Shopify customers, orders and refunds push into ActiveCampaign as contact fields, tags and deal events. Post-purchase nurture, winback and loyalty automations trigger on real purchase data, and returns or chargebacks pause the wrong automation before it annoys a customer who just asked for their money back.

Pair with Stripe

Let Stripe subscription events drive ActiveCampaign flows

Stripe subscription starts, upgrades, failed payments and cancellations push into ActiveCampaign as deal events and contact tags. Dunning sequences fire the hour Stripe sees the failed charge, and save automations start on the cancellation itself rather than on a weekly export.

Pair with Salesforce

Keep Salesforce accounts aligned with ActiveCampaign segments

Account tier, owner and renewal date from Salesforce flow into ActiveCampaign as contact fields and tags. The executive-account newsletter, the at-risk-renewal sequence and the cold-account reactivation all stay aligned to the CRM, without a rep maintaining a parallel tag system by hand.

Pair with Gong

Feed Gong call signals into ActiveCampaign deals

Gong call outcomes, next-step commitments and deal-risk flags push into ActiveCampaign as deal custom fields and tags on the contact. Follow-up automations start from what was said on the call, and deals where the prospect ghosted after a strong call get their own save sequence instead of the default nurture.

Three steps

From ActiveCampaign to answers in three steps.

01

Connect securely

OAuth authentication. Read-only by default. We sign a DPA and your admin keeps the keys.

02

Land in your warehouse

Data flows into your warehouse on your schedule. Near real time or nightly, your call. You own the data.

03

Reporting, automation, AI

We build the first dashboard, workflow or AI feature with you, then hand over the keys. Or we stay on for ongoing delivery.

Two ways to work with us

Pick the track that fits how you work.

Track 01

Self-serve

We set up the foundation. Your team builds on top.

  • ActiveCampaign connector configured and running
  • Warehouse set up in your cloud account
  • Clean access for your Power BI, Fabric or Tableau team
  • Documentation on what's in the data model
  • Sync monitoring so you're warned before reports break

Best fit Teams that already have a BI analyst or data engineer and want to own the build.

Track 02

Done for you

We build the whole thing, end to end.

  • Everything in Self-serve
  • Dashboards built to the questions your team actually asks
  • Automations between your systems
  • AI workflows scoped to real tasks your team runs
  • Custom apps where a dashboard does not cut it
  • Ongoing delivery at a pace that fits your team

Best fit Teams without in-house BI or dev capacity. You tell us what you need and we deliver it.

Before you book

Frequently asked questions.

Who owns the data?

You do. It lands in your warehouse, on your cloud account. We don't resell or aggregate it. If you stop working with us, the warehouse stays yours and keeps running.

How fresh is the data?

Near real time for most operational systems. For heavier sources we schedule hourly or nightly. You pick based on what the reports need.

Do I need a warehouse already?

No. If you don't have one, we help you pick one and set it up as part of the first delivery. Common starting points are Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or a small Postgres start.

Does the sync support multiple ActiveCampaign accounts?

Yes. Each account lands in its own schema, with a shared contact and deal dimension on top. Holding companies and multi-brand operations get per-account isolation plus a deduped contact view at group level, without merging tag lists by hand.

What about contact fields and deal custom-field meta?

Included. Field definitions change as your admin edits the schema, so we track those changes as slowly-changing dimensions. Joins and dashboards that assume a custom field is stable are flagged when the field moves, renames or is retired, which is usually the difference between a forecast that still works and one that silently reads the wrong column.
