About Bol

Where Dutch shoppers go first.

Bol is the largest marketplace in the Netherlands and Belgium, with around eleven million active customers and more than thirty thousand third-party sellers on the Bol Partner programme. Founded in 1997 and now part of Ahold Delhaize, it is the channel most Benelux brands reach outside their own webshop, whether they ship from their own stock or through Bol's fulfilment.

The point of pulling Bol into a warehouse is that every Bol order carries more cost than the header price suggests: Bol commission, fulfilment if you use LVB, returns that are easy by design, and delayed payout cycles that matter for cash. Next to Shopify or Magento data, Exact Online or Yuki bookings and SendCloud shipping, the marketplace channel gets a margin number that reflects the reality, not the gross revenue line in Bol Partner.

Real business questions

Answers you will finally get.

What is our real margin per SKU on Bol?

Revenue net of Bol commission, fulfilment (LVB or own-shipped), returns and shipping cost, rolled up per SKU. Shows which products earn after the marketplace takes its share, and which are filling the warehouse with no contribution.

How much revenue returns from Bol customers, and for which reason?

Return volume by SKU with reason codes and week-on-week trend, net of the re-shipped ones. Surfaces the product whose description or photos are setting expectations the physical item cannot match.

Does the Bol payout match what we invoiced?

Weekly Bol payouts reconciled against orders, commission and VAT, with a clear variance line where anything does not match. Month-end stops hunting for two-euro discrepancies across a payout cycle that crosses the weekend.

Value for everyone in the organisation

Where each function gets value.

For finance leaders

Bol payouts reconciled against orders, commission and VAT, with real margin per SKU after all fees. The marketplace channel stops looking bigger than it is and starts being defended on profit instead of gross revenue.

For sales leaders

Buy-box share, price-position trend and repeat-buyer behaviour per product category. Merchandising moves from 'list it on Bol' to 'price it for margin on Bol, at the price where the buy box is winnable'.

For operations

LVB versus own-ship comparison on cost and return rate, plus service SLA trend. Fulfilment and stock allocation decisions are made against the data both Bol and the warehouse already see, not on an agency's slide.

Ideas

What you can automate with Bol.

Pair with Shopify

Align Shopify and Bol as two sides of the same catalog

Shopify and Bol share the same product master, with stock, pricing and availability synced both ways. Orders from both land in one fulfilment flow so the customer sees the brand and the business sees the margin per channel on the same SKU.

Pair with Exact Online

Post Bol orders and refunds into Exact Online

Bol orders land in Exact Online as sales invoices with VAT treatment per destination country and commission booked separately. Refunds post as credit notes and payouts reconcile against the bank, so Belgian month-end does not grind on the Bol payout cycle.

Pair with SendCloud

Hand Bol shipments to SendCloud

Bol orders that ship from your own stock hand off to SendCloud with the right carrier, service level and return label. Tracking flows back to Bol so the service SLA stays green, and shipping cost lands next to the order for margin analysis.

Pair with Magento

Run Bol and Magento on the same catalog and stock

Magento and Bol share product, pricing and stock through the warehouse. B2C Magento brands that also sell on Bol stop maintaining two catalogs and start seeing the cannibalisation between their own store and the marketplace channel.

Data model

Tables we make available.

These are the 7 tables we currently pull from Bol into your warehouse. Query them directly in SQL, join them to the rest of your stack, or build reports on top.

  • Inventory

  • Promotions
  • Replenishments
  • Returns
  • Shipments

Missing a table you need? We can extend the sync. Tell us what is missing and we will build it for you.

Your existing tools

Your data lands in a warehouse. Your BI tools read from it.

You keep the reporting tool you already have. We connect it to the warehouse where your Bol data lives.

Three steps

From Bol to answers in three steps.

01

Connect securely

OAuth authentication. Read-only by default. We sign a DPA and your admin keeps the keys.

02

Land in your warehouse

Data flows into your warehouse on your schedule. Near real time or nightly, your call. You own the data.

03

Reporting, automation, AI

We build the first dashboard, workflow or AI feature with you, then hand over the keys. Or we stay on for ongoing delivery.

Two ways to work with us

Pick the track that fits how you work.

Track 01

Self-serve

We set up the foundation. Your team builds on top.

  • Bol connector configured and running
  • Warehouse set up in your cloud account
  • Clean access for your Power BI, Fabric or Tableau team
  • Documentation on what's in the data model
  • Sync monitoring so you're warned before reports break

Best fit Teams that already have a BI analyst or data engineer and want to own the build.

Track 02

Done for you

We build the whole thing, end to end.

  • Everything in Self-serve
  • Dashboards built to the questions your team actually asks
  • Automations between your systems
  • AI workflows scoped to real tasks your team runs
  • Custom apps where a dashboard does not cut it
  • Ongoing delivery at a pace that fits your team

Best fit Teams without in-house BI or dev capacity. You tell us what you need and we deliver it.

Before you book

Frequently asked questions.

Who owns the data?

You do. It lands in your warehouse, on your cloud account. We don't resell or aggregate it. If you stop working with us, the warehouse stays yours and keeps running.

How fresh is the data?

Near real time for most operational systems. For heavier sources we schedule hourly or nightly. You pick based on what the reports need.

Do I need a warehouse already?

No. If you don't have one, we help you pick one and set it up as part of the first delivery. Common starting points are Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or a small Postgres start.

Which Bol Partner APIs does the sync use?

The Bol Retailer API and the Bol Partner event feed. Orders, shipments, returns, invoices, commission data and offers all come across as first-class tables, with pagination and rate limits respected so the connector runs cleanly on busy accounts.

Does the sync support multiple Bol Partner accounts?

Yes. Each Bol Partner account lands in its own schema with a shared product dimension on top. Retailers running multiple brands on Bol get per-brand reporting and a consolidated view without flattening the offer catalog.
