About Cegid
The French software group that already runs your accounting, payroll or store.
Cegid was founded in 1983 in Lyon by Jean-Michel Aulas and grew into the dominant French enterprise software group across accounting, ERP, payroll, HR and retail. Silver Lake took the company private in 2017, and in 2021 KKR joined as a minority shareholder at a €5.5 billion enterprise value, with AltaOne still on the cap table. The 2022 combination with Iberian software group Grupo Primavera widened the footprint across France, Spain, Portugal and Latin America. The portfolio today covers Cegid Loop (cloud accounting for the expert-comptable firms), Cegid XRP Flex (cloud ERP for mid-market companies, also branded Cegid Y2 in older accounts), Cegid HR (the HR and talent suite, including the former Talentsoft assets acquired in 2021), Cegid Retail and Cegid Orli (unified commerce for retail and fashion), and Cegid Allmybanks (treasury).
Pulling Cegid into a warehouse matters because almost no Cegid customer runs only one Cegid product. A Walloon group with a French subsidiary on Cegid Loop, an industrial site on XRP Flex and a retail arm on Cegid Retail has three Cegid databases and one French DGFiP filing obligation across them. This connector lifts the journals, third parties (clients, fournisseurs), invoices and product or store data out of the Cegid module the customer is on, and lands them in the warehouse next to Salesforce, HubSpot, Stripe and Shopify. The group P&L, the cross-entity DSO and the store-versus-finance reconciliation become one query, not three Cegid logins and a Friday afternoon.
