About Hilti ON!Track

The asset tracker that follows your tools from the warehouse to the jobsite.

Hilti ON!Track is a manufacturer-independent system for tracking tools, equipment and consumables across a construction business. It doesn't care whose brand is on the drill: you tag an asset, assign it to a location or a worker, and the app knows where it is, who has it and when it is due back. Contractors use it to cut tool loss, keep certifications current and see what is sitting idle in a container versus what is out earning on a site.

The data model is built around assets (tools and equipment), locations (warehouses, vehicles and jobsites), workers, transfers between locations, quantity items (consumables and PPE), plus maintenance records and certificates. Hilti opened that up with ON!Track Unite, a public API. In a warehouse it lines up with your ERP job costs, purchase invoices and worker records, and the questions you can't answer from inside the app, like true cost per jobsite or utilisation per tool category, start having numbers behind them.

Who owns the data?

You do. It lands in your warehouse, on your cloud account. We don't resell or aggregate it. If you stop working with us, the warehouse stays yours and keeps running.

How fresh is the data?

Near real time for most operational systems. For heavier sources we schedule hourly or nightly. You pick based on what the reports need.

Do I need a warehouse already?

No. If you don't have one, we help you pick one and set it up as part of the first delivery. Common starting points are Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or a small Postgres start.

Does the connector use the ON!Track Unite API?

Yes. Hilti exposes ON!Track through its ON!Track Unite public API, and that is what the connector reads from. We pull the structured records, assets, locations, workers, transfers, quantity items, maintenance and certificates, into your warehouse, and keep them refreshed so a dashboard or app always reflects the current state of your fleet.

Does this work for tools that aren't Hilti?

Yes. ON!Track is manufacturer-independent, so any tool, machine or consumable you have tagged in it, whatever the brand, comes through the connector the same way. The warehouse doesn't treat a Hilti breaker differently from any other asset in your fleet.
