About Lucanet

The CFO platform built in Berlin for group finance.

Lucanet was founded in 1999 in Berlin by Rolf-Jürgen Moll and Oliver Schmitz, and has spent its whole life on the same problem: making group finance close, plan and report without the spreadsheet patchwork that usually sits underneath. The platform covers financial consolidation, planning and budgeting, extended planning and analysis, ESG and sustainability reporting, disclosure management, lease accounting and tax reporting including Pillar 2.

Lucanet partnered with Hg in 2022 to back its next phase of growth, and has since added AMANA, ementexx, Causal and firesys to the group. It serves over 5,000 organisations in roughly 50 countries, with a strong base in DACH mid-market groups and a broader European footprint. The platform is cloud-first, built around a CFO-owned data model, and ships with several hundred ETL adapters into the source systems finance pulls from.

What your Lucanet data is for

What you get once Lucanet is connected.

Consolidated reporting beyond the CFO seat

Group P&L, intercompany and FX next to the operational data that explains the numbers.

  • Group P&L, balance sheet and cash flow alongside ERP source data
  • Budget versus actual per entity, business line and cost centre
  • ESG metrics tracked next to financial KPIs on the same dashboard

Cross-system automation

Keep Lucanet in sync with the source ledgers and the systems downstream of finance.

  • Trial balances from Exact Online, Business Central or NetSuite into Lucanet
  • FX rates and intercompany matches reconciled against ERP source
  • Approved budgets from Lucanet pushed back into the operating ERP

AI workflows on group finance data

Use Lucanet history for forecasts and anomaly checks the platform itself does not run.

  • Driver-based forecasting per entity and business line
  • Anomaly detection on intercompany balances before close
  • Cash-flow projections that combine Lucanet plan with ERP actuals

Custom apps on consolidated data

Internal tools on Lucanet output for managers who should not need a Lucanet seat.

  • Entity-controller workbench with local-to-group reconciliation
  • Board pack generator that pulls from the warehouse, not from PowerPoint copy-paste
  • Cost-centre owner view with budget, actual and commitments

Real business questions

Answers you will finally get.

Does the group P&L tie back to what the ERPs booked?

Lucanet group result, entity-level Lucanet figures and the source-ERP trial balances on the same view, with the mapping from local accounts to group accounts visible. The reconciliation gap that usually surfaces after audit appears here before close, with the entity, account and amount that drives it.

Where will the next intercompany imbalance come from?

Intercompany receivables and payables tracked per entity pair, with the open delta and the underlying transactions side by side. Mismatches are visible while there is still time to fix them in the source ERP, instead of being booked away in a top-side adjustment.

How accurate has the Lucanet plan been?

Plan from Lucanet against ERP actuals, by entity, business line and account, with the variance trend and the drivers that broke it. Forecast quality is measured against booked numbers, not against the next forecast that quietly replaced the previous one.

Value for everyone in the organisation

Where each function gets value.

For finance leaders

Group consolidation, intercompany and budget-versus-actual on the same view as the ERP detail behind them. Top-side adjustments stop being a black box because the local trial balance and the group account map sit next to each other.

For sales leaders

Pipeline and closed-won from Salesforce or HubSpot land next to the Lucanet revenue plan per entity and business line. Forecast updates come from real commercial signal instead of waiting for the next planning round to catch up.

For operations

Cost-centre owners and entity controllers see budget, actual and commitments without needing a Lucanet login. Local managers run on the same numbers the group close uses, instead of waiting for a PDF after the board meeting.

Ideas

What you can automate with Lucanet.

Pair with Exact Online

Push Exact Online trial balances into Lucanet

Trial balances, journal lines and master data from each Exact Online entity flow into Lucanet ready for consolidation, with the local-to-group account mapping applied. Month-end stops being a CSV-and-template handover between the local controller and the group team.

Pair with MS Dynamics 365 Business Central

Feed Business Central balances into Lucanet

GL balances, dimensions and master data from Business Central land in Lucanet per entity, with the chart-of-accounts mapping kept in one place. Group consolidation runs on the same source data the local books posted, not on a refreshed export from last week.

Pair with NetSuite

Sync NetSuite subsidiaries into Lucanet

NetSuite subsidiaries, accounting books and currencies move into Lucanet as entities with the FX rates aligned, and intercompany balances are matched per entity pair. Group close stops re-doing the work NetSuite already did per subsidiary.

Pair with Salesforce

Tie Salesforce pipeline to the Lucanet revenue plan

Weighted pipeline and closed-won from Salesforce land next to the Lucanet revenue plan per entity and business line, with the gap visible per stage and per rep. Forecast updates use commercial signal instead of waiting for the next planning round.

Pair with HubSpot

Use HubSpot deals to refresh the Lucanet plan

HubSpot deals, deal stages and revenue forecast push into the same warehouse view as the Lucanet revenue plan, with the variance per business line visible. Marketing-sourced revenue gets credited against the plan it was supposed to support.

Pair with MS Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (AX)

Bring Dynamics 365 Finance entities into Lucanet

Legal entities, GL balances and intercompany journals from Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations land in Lucanet ready for consolidation, with dimensions kept as group reporting structures. Larger groups stop running the same close twice in two different platforms.

Pair with Slack

Surface Lucanet close alerts in Slack

Intercompany mismatches, missing trial balances and close-task slippage from Lucanet ping the right entity controller in Slack the moment they happen. Group close stops being a daily status mail nobody reads in time.

Three steps

From Lucanet to answers in three steps.

01

Connect securely

OAuth authentication. Read-only by default. We sign a DPA and your admin keeps the keys.

02

Land in your warehouse

Data flows into your warehouse on your schedule. Near real time or nightly, your call. You own the data.

03

Reporting, automation, AI

We build the first dashboard, workflow or AI feature with you, then hand over the keys. Or we stay on for ongoing delivery.

Two ways to work with us

Pick the track that fits how you work.

Track 01

Self-serve

We set up the foundation. Your team builds on top.

  • Lucanet connector configured and running
  • Warehouse set up in your cloud account
  • Clean access for your Power BI, Fabric or Tableau team
  • Documentation on what's in the data model
  • Sync monitoring so you're warned before reports break

Best fit Teams that already have a BI analyst or data engineer and want to own the build.

Track 02

Done for you

We build the whole thing, end to end.

  • Everything in Self-serve
  • Dashboards built to the questions your team actually asks
  • Automations between your systems
  • AI workflows scoped to real tasks your team runs
  • Custom apps where a dashboard does not cut it
  • Ongoing delivery at a pace that fits your team

Best fit Teams without in-house BI or dev capacity. You tell us what you need and we deliver it.

Before you book

Frequently asked questions.

Who owns the data?

You do. It lands in your warehouse, on your cloud account. We don't resell or aggregate it. If you stop working with us, the warehouse stays yours and keeps running.

How fresh is the data?

Near real time for most operational systems. For heavier sources we schedule hourly or nightly. You pick based on what the reports need.

Do I need a warehouse already?

No. If you don't have one, we help you pick one and set it up as part of the first delivery. Common starting points are Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or a small Postgres start.
