About MailerLite

The email tool a one-person shop can run on its own.

MailerLite started in Vilnius in 2010 as a side project of a small Lithuanian web agency, pivoted into email and stayed focused on the part of the market Mailchimp slowly grew away from: creators, bloggers, one-product e-commerce stores and solo operators who want a list, a form and a few automations without a platform fee. The company was acquired by Vercom in 2022 and still operates under its own brand, with a fully remote team serving around a million customers worldwide.

The feature set is deliberately small: email campaigns, signup forms and popups, basic automations, a drag-and-drop landing page and website builder, and a transactional email product. That smaller surface is the reason MailerLite customers often run the business on it, but it also means the reporting inside the tool is plain. Revenue attribution, cohort retention and list-health trends are stories that need the order data, the payment data and the web data next to the subscriber data. That is a warehouse job.

What your MailerLite data is for

What you get once MailerLite is connected.

Campaign reporting that ends in revenue

The order next to the open, per campaign and per subscriber segment.

  • Revenue per campaign, not only opens and clicks
  • Paid orders tied to the campaign that triggered them
  • List-health trend over twelve months

Subscriber sync

Keep the list in line with the system that decides who your customers really are.

  • Shopify buyers land in the right MailerLite group
  • Stripe payment status drives segment membership
  • HubSpot contact properties flow back as custom fields

AI workflows

Turn years of campaign history into scoring that makes the next send smarter.

  • Churn-risk scoring on inactive subscribers
  • Best-time-of-week model per segment
  • Topic recommendation based on past click behaviour

Custom apps on your data

Internal tools for a small marketing team that MailerLite's own UI does not ship.

  • Newsletter-ROI board with revenue per send
  • Subscriber-quality monitor across forms and popups
  • Unsubscribe review app for the weekly content call

Real business questions

Answers you will finally get.

Which newsletter paid for itself?

The MailerLite send cost next to the paid orders attributed in the fourteen days after delivery, broken down by segment. Ranks the sends whose revenue covered the design time and the discount code, and flags the ones that only moved existing demand around.

Which signup source brings real customers, not just subscribers?

Signup source (form, popup, landing page, import) next to downstream conversion and ninety-day retention. The form that collects the most addresses is often not the one that brings in the subscribers who buy.

Value for everyone in the organisation

Where each function gets value.

For finance leaders

Newsletter cost in the same picture as attributed revenue, per campaign and per cohort. The marketing spend is not defended on opens, it is defended on paid orders in the weeks after the send.

For sales leaders

Subscriber groups that match your real customer list, kept in sync from Shopify, Stripe or HubSpot. Win-back and upsell sequences run on the real buying signal, not on a list last cleaned a year ago.

For operations

List health, bounce rate and unsubscribe trend over twelve months. Deliverability is watched as a trend, not rediscovered the day a provider starts throttling the domain.

Ideas

What you can automate with MailerLite.

Pair with Shopify

Sync Shopify customers into MailerLite groups

Shopify customers land in the right MailerLite group automatically, with order count, last-order date and lifetime value attached as custom fields. Post-purchase flows and win-back campaigns run on the real buying signal instead of a monthly CSV export.

Pair with Stripe

Route Stripe payment state into MailerLite segments

Active subscribers, failed-payment customers and churned accounts from Stripe each land in a named MailerLite segment. Dunning mails, reactivation sequences and upsell campaigns are triggered on the real payment status, not on a tag someone last touched months ago.

Pair with HubSpot

Push HubSpot contact properties into MailerLite

Lifecycle stage, deal owner and lead score from HubSpot flow into MailerLite as custom fields and group membership. The solo marketer stops keeping two tag systems in sync by hand and treats HubSpot as the source of truth for who gets what.

Pair with Google Analytics GA4

Feed GA4 behaviour segments into MailerLite

Visitor segments built in GA4 (high-intent browsers, cart abandoners, returning readers) are pushed into MailerLite as groups. The next campaign or automation targets real on-site behaviour, not a guess based on last month's form fill.

Data model

Tables we make available.

These are the 11 tables we currently pull from MailerLite into your warehouse. Query them directly in SQL, join them to the rest of your stack, or build reports on top.

Your existing tools

Your data lands in a warehouse. Your BI tools read from it.

You keep the reporting tool you already have. We connect it to the warehouse where your MailerLite data lives.

Three steps

From MailerLite to answers in three steps.

01

Connect securely

OAuth authentication. Read-only by default. We sign a DPA and your admin keeps the keys.

02

Land in your warehouse

Data flows into your warehouse on your schedule. Near real time or nightly, your call. You own the data.

03

Reporting, automation, AI

We build the first dashboard, workflow or AI feature with you, then hand over the keys. Or we stay on for ongoing delivery.

Two ways to work with us

Pick the track that fits how you work.

Track 01

Self-serve

We set up the foundation. Your team builds on top.

  • MailerLite connector configured and running
  • Warehouse set up in your cloud account
  • Clean access for your Power BI, Fabric or Tableau team
  • Documentation on what's in the data model
  • Sync monitoring so you're warned before reports break

Best fit Teams that already have a BI analyst or data engineer and want to own the build.

Track 02

Done for you

We build the whole thing, end to end.

  • Everything in Self-serve
  • Dashboards built to the questions your team actually asks
  • Automations between your systems
  • AI workflows scoped to real tasks your team runs
  • Custom apps where a dashboard does not cut it
  • Ongoing delivery at a pace that fits your team

Best fit Teams without in-house BI or dev capacity. You tell us what you need and we deliver it.

Before you book

Frequently asked questions.

Who owns the data?

You do. It lands in your warehouse, on your cloud account. We don't resell or aggregate it. If you stop working with us, the warehouse stays yours and keeps running.

How fresh is the data?

Near real time for most operational systems. For heavier sources we schedule hourly or nightly. You pick based on what the reports need.

Do I need a warehouse already?

No. If you don't have one, we help you pick one and set it up as part of the first delivery. Common starting points are Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or a small Postgres start.

What happens when MailerLite custom fields change?

New custom fields land in the warehouse as new columns on the next run. Renamed or removed fields are kept historically, so older campaign reports stay readable. Group and segment changes are tracked over time, which is usually the difference between a campaign review that works and one that silently reports against the wrong audience.

Does the MailerLite API rate limit get in the way of a full sync?

MailerLite's API caps at around 120 requests per minute across the account. The connector paginates and backs off on 429 responses, so a full subscriber and campaign sync runs in the background without blocking the sends you trigger from the app. Large lists load on the first run, then only changed records flow on schedule.
