About Mattermark
A private-company database built around growth signals.
Mattermark is a deal-intelligence platform that tracks private companies and the events that move them: funding rounds, headcount changes, web traffic, news mentions and a proprietary growth score. The company was founded in 2012 by Danielle Morrill and Kevin Morrill and built its early reputation among VC analysts and outbound sales teams who needed a structured view on the startup landscape rather than a stack of news alerts.
The product was acquired by FullContact in December 2017, then relaunched as an independent company in February 2019 with the original founders back in charge and a renewed focus on private deal intelligence. Today Mattermark covers roughly four million companies and about twenty million contacts, with REST and GraphQL APIs, a web app, CSV and PDF export, spreadsheet plugins, a browser extension and a Salesforce integration.
The point of pulling Mattermark into a warehouse is that growth signals are most useful where they meet the rest of the deal cycle. A funding round, a hiring spike or a growth-score jump only matters once it lines up with whether your team has met the founder, whether the account is in your CRM, whether outbound has tried it before, and what happened the last time you reached out. Inside Mattermark those signals stay a list. In a warehouse they become an input to deal flow, ICP scoring and pipeline review.
