About Mews

The cloud-native PMS that took on the Opera generation.

Mews was founded in Prague in 2012 by Richard Valtr and is run today by co-founder Matthijs Welle. The company reports more than 12,500 properties across 85 countries, from boutique hotels and hostels to serviced apartments and larger groups. The product has grown from a PMS into a hospitality platform spanning operations, payments, distribution, guest services, a POS for F&B, revenue management and a marketplace of over a thousand partner apps.

For finance, revenue and ops leaders, Mews is the system of record for almost everything that matters in the property: reservations, stays, guests, rates and rate plans, restrictions, folio charges, payments and refunds, city tax, resort fees, room assignments and housekeeping status. The built-in reports answer day-to-day questions well. The harder questions, like how pickup compares to pace against the budget, what each OTA really costs after commission, or which corporate accounts are driving margin across the group, sit across Mews and the systems around it. Pulling Mews into a warehouse is how those questions stop being a spreadsheet stitched together after month-end.

What your Mews data is for

What you get once Mews is connected.

Commercial reporting

RevPAR, ADR, occupancy and pickup in one place, split by segment, channel and property.

  • RevPAR, ADR and occupancy across the group
  • Pickup versus pace versus budget per stay date
  • OTA commission and cancellation rate by channel

Process automation

Turn reservation and folio events into the nudges and bookings your team would otherwise do by hand.

  • Post Mews revenue and city tax to the accounting ledger nightly
  • Push group and corporate stays into the CRM with the right account
  • Trigger pricing or restriction changes when pickup drops below pace

AI workflows

Use your stay, rate and guest history to forecast demand and personalise outreach.

  • Demand forecast per room type, per day-of-week and lead time
  • No-show and cancellation risk scored per reservation
  • Guest segmentation across repeat stays, spend and channel

Custom apps on your data

Small front-office and revenue tools that sit on Mews data instead of a stack of plug-ins.

  • Revenue manager dashboard with pickup, pace and budget side by side
  • Group-sales quoting tool tied to availability and restrictions
  • Housekeeping board that reads Mews room status across properties

Real business questions

Answers you will finally get.

How does this week's pickup compare to pace and to last year?

Room nights picked up per stay date, plotted against the budgeted pace curve and the same week last year, split by segment and property. Revenue managers see where the gap is opening up in time to move a restriction or close out a rate plan, instead of reading about it in the Monday morning commercial meeting.

What does each OTA really cost us after commission and cancellations?

Net ADR per channel after OTA commission, payment fees and cancellation rate, ranked next to direct. Booking.com, Expedia and Airbnb stop being one line on a P&L and become three different cost structures that a commercial director can steer on.

Which corporate accounts are carrying the group this quarter?

Revenue, room nights and ancillary spend per company account, across every property in the group. The ten accounts that book across multiple properties become visible to sales, so they get a proper review cycle instead of being lost in a per-property folio list.

Value for everyone in the organisation

Where each function gets value.

For finance leaders

Revenue per property, city tax and VAT per jurisdiction, and OTA commission booked as cost, not buried in a net-rate calculation. Multi-property consolidation without pulling Mews Operator exports each month.

For sales leaders

Corporate and group accounts across the whole group in one view, with the stays, rates and contract performance attached. Group-quote work stops being a shared spreadsheet that nobody trusts by Thursday.

For operations

Housekeeping throughput, check-in timing and room-assignment conflicts next to each property's occupancy curve. The Monday morning debrief runs on data that was there all weekend instead of a front-desk recap.

Ideas

What you can automate with Mews.

Pair with Exact Online

Post Mews revenue, city tax and VAT to Exact Online

Each night, Mews revenue, city tax and VAT per property land in Exact Online as the right journal entries, split across room revenue, F&B, ancillary and taxes. Night audit stops being a manual reclass the next morning and the monthly tourist-tax declaration is already in the ledger by the time finance opens it.

Pair with Stripe

Reconcile Mews payments against Stripe payouts

Folio charges, refunds and no-show fees in Mews are matched against the Stripe charges and payouts that settled them, with fees and chargebacks pulled out separately. Night audit finishes with each folio either marked paid or flagged with the exact delta, instead of a spreadsheet crawl through two exports.

Pair with HubSpot

Sync corporate and group stays into HubSpot

Company accounts and group bookings in Mews flow into HubSpot as companies, deals and timeline activity, with the right rate plan, stay pattern and ancillary spend attached. Sales chases corporate renewals and group follow-up on actual stay data, not on what a front-office note guessed last quarter.

Pair with Google Analytics GA4

Attribute direct bookings back to the campaigns that drove them

GA4 sessions and campaign parameters from the booking engine are joined to the confirmed Mews reservations they produced, including cancellations and no-shows. Marketing sees which campaigns pulled real paid stays rather than booking-engine clicks, and the direct-booking share has a number next to it that finance recognises.

Three steps

From Mews to answers in three steps.

01

Connect securely

OAuth authentication. Read-only by default. We sign a DPA and your admin keeps the keys.

02

Land in your warehouse

Data flows into your warehouse on your schedule. Near real time or nightly, your call. You own the data.

03

Reporting, automation, AI

We build the first dashboard, workflow or AI feature with you, then hand over the keys. Or we stay on for ongoing delivery.

Two ways to work with us

Pick the track that fits how you work.

Track 01

Self-serve

We set up the foundation. Your team builds on top.

  • Mews connector configured and running
  • Warehouse set up in your cloud account
  • Clean access for your Power BI, Fabric or Tableau team
  • Documentation on what's in the data model
  • Sync monitoring so you're warned before reports break

Best fit Teams that already have a BI analyst or data engineer and want to own the build.

Track 02

Done for you

We build the whole thing, end to end.

  • Everything in Self-serve
  • Dashboards built to the questions your team actually asks
  • Automations between your systems
  • AI workflows scoped to real tasks your team runs
  • Custom apps where a dashboard does not cut it
  • Ongoing delivery at a pace that fits your team

Best fit Teams without in-house BI or dev capacity. You tell us what you need and we deliver it.

Before you book

Frequently asked questions.

Who owns the data?

You do. It lands in your warehouse, on your cloud account. We don't resell or aggregate it. If you stop working with us, the warehouse stays yours and keeps running.

How fresh is the data?

Near real time for most operational systems. For heavier sources we schedule hourly or nightly. You pick based on what the reports need.

Do I need a warehouse already?

No. If you don't have one, we help you pick one and set it up as part of the first delivery. Common starting points are Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or a small Postgres start.

We run several properties on Mews. How are they consolidated?

Each Mews property lands in the warehouse with its own identifier and its own currency, tax setup and rate plans preserved. Group reporting joins them on stay date, segment and company account, so RevPAR, pickup and corporate spend at group level become a single query rather than a monthly stitch of per-property exports.

Do rate plans, restrictions and availability adjustments come across?

Yes. Rate groups, rates, restrictions, availability adjustments and availability blocks are all exposed as first-class tables in the warehouse. Revenue managers can see which restriction was live when a pickup gap opened up, instead of reconstructing it later from memory.

How are city tax and VAT handled per jurisdiction?

The Mews taxation and tax-environment tables come across with the folio postings they apply to, so city tax, tourist tax and VAT are visible per property and per period. Filings and the nightly journal posting to accounting use the same numbers, which keeps the reconciliation short.
