About Piwik Pro

The privacy-first alternative to Google Analytics.

Piwik Pro grew out of the original Piwik open-source project in 2013, split off completely by 2016 and has since been operated independently of Matomo, the open-source successor. It now positions itself as a privacy-first analytics and data-activation platform, covering Analytics, Tag Manager, Consent Manager and an audience-level Customer Data module. Its buyers sit heavily in GDPR-sensitive sectors, government and regulated industries that want behavioural data on their own hosting rather than inside Google's ad ecosystem.

The point of pulling Piwik Pro into a warehouse is that the audience, goal and consent logic that legal signed off on lives in Piwik Pro and the customer record it should reach lives in CRM and commerce. Audiences built on compliant tracking stop at the Piwik Pro boundary unless someone rebuilds them by hand on the other side. In a warehouse, the Piwik Pro audience, the goal it crossed and the consent the visitor gave land on the matching HubSpot contact, Salesforce account or Shopify customer, and marketing stops exporting CSVs between two tools that each see half the picture.

What your Piwik Pro data is for

What you get once Piwik Pro is connected.

Compliant analytics with revenue context

Goals, audiences and web behaviour joined to paid orders and CRM accounts.

  • Goal completion tied back to invoiced revenue and customer tier
  • Audience performance against retention and expansion, not only reach
  • Consent-level segmentation in reporting so legal and marketing agree

Audience-to-stack automation

Let Piwik Pro audiences drive action in the tools the business already uses.

  • High-intent audience membership lands on the CRM account
  • Consented segment feeds the right Klaviyo or HubSpot flow
  • Goal completion opens a sales task for an owner on a key account

AI workflows

Score, cluster and forecast on the behavioural and audience stream.

  • Intent scoring on visit patterns and goal proximity
  • Audience similarity clustering for look-alike targeting on consent
  • Churn-risk flag on accounts whose web activity drops for weeks

Custom apps on your data

Internal tools on Piwik Pro data that marketing keeps needing to rebuild elsewhere.

  • Privacy-aware attribution dashboard for marketing leadership
  • Account intent view with web behaviour per customer and segment
  • Consent-audit board for DPO and legal

Real business questions

Answers you will finally get.

Do our compliant audiences reach the tools that do the work?

Audiences built in Piwik Pro land on the matching CRM contact, marketing segment and commerce customer, with the consent signal preserved. Legal sees one segmentation definition enforced across the stack instead of each tool inventing its own.

Which on-site goals predict revenue?

Goal completions in Piwik Pro joined to paid deals and invoices downstream. Marketing sees which goals correlate with revenue and which just fire a lot, and budgets move towards the behaviour that ends in a customer, not the one that ends in a form fill.

Is our analytics story consistent for the DPO?

Consent state, audit-log entries and audience membership queryable side by side, with a record of when each consent was granted, revoked or changed. The DPO review runs against the same dataset marketing builds reports on, not against two disconnected exports.

Value for everyone in the organisation

Where each function gets value.

For finance leaders

Marketing spend mapped to the Piwik Pro audience that generated it and the invoice that followed. CAC and channel ROI stop depending on the tool the marketing team trusts this month and become a warehouse view finance signs off on.

For sales leaders

For account owners, web activity, goal completion and audience membership from Piwik Pro on every account record. Sales prioritises outreach on accounts showing live intent on the site, not on static lists refreshed last quarter.

For operations

Consent-state, audit-log entries and audience definitions available for the DPO and the privacy team. Compliance work stops running on PDF exports and moves to the same warehouse marketing queries for performance.

Ideas

What you can automate with Piwik Pro.

Pair with HubSpot

Land Piwik Pro audiences on HubSpot contacts

Audience membership and goal completion from Piwik Pro sync onto HubSpot contacts as properties and timeline events, with consent state preserved. Marketing flows run on the compliant audience definition rather than a list rebuilt by hand in HubSpot.

Pair with Klaviyo

Feed Klaviyo segments from Piwik Pro audiences

Consented Piwik Pro audiences push into Klaviyo segments the same day they change, with opt-out state respected. Win-back and welcome flows fire on the behaviour that was observed on-site, not on a weekly CSV exported by a marketer.

Pair with Salesforce

Show Piwik Pro intent on Salesforce accounts

Web activity, goal completion and audience membership from Piwik Pro appear on the matched Salesforce account. Account executives see the research pattern and the goal completions before outreach, instead of calling cold based on a list pulled in isolation.

Pair with Shopify

Join Piwik Pro behaviour with Shopify orders

Audience membership and goal signals from Piwik Pro link to the matched Shopify customer and order. Merchandising and retention see the product views, abandoned checkouts and promoter segments that map to the customers buying, not the traffic that bounced.

Three steps

From Piwik Pro to answers in three steps.

01

Connect securely

OAuth authentication. Read-only by default. We sign a DPA and your admin keeps the keys.

02

Land in your warehouse

Data flows into your warehouse on your schedule. Near real time or nightly, your call. You own the data.

03

Reporting, automation, AI

We build the first dashboard, workflow or AI feature with you, then hand over the keys. Or we stay on for ongoing delivery.

Two ways to work with us

Pick the track that fits how you work.

Track 01

Self-serve

We set up the foundation. Your team builds on top.

  • Piwik Pro connector configured and running
  • Warehouse set up in your cloud account
  • Clean access for your Power BI, Fabric or Tableau team
  • Documentation on what's in the data model
  • Sync monitoring so you're warned before reports break

Best fit Teams that already have a BI analyst or data engineer and want to own the build.

Track 02

Done for you

We build the whole thing, end to end.

  • Everything in Self-serve
  • Dashboards built to the questions your team actually asks
  • Automations between your systems
  • AI workflows scoped to real tasks your team runs
  • Custom apps where a dashboard does not cut it
  • Ongoing delivery at a pace that fits your team

Best fit Teams without in-house BI or dev capacity. You tell us what you need and we deliver it.

Before you book

Frequently asked questions.

Who owns the data?

You do. It lands in your warehouse, on your cloud account. We don't resell or aggregate it. If you stop working with us, the warehouse stays yours and keeps running.

How fresh is the data?

Near real time for most operational systems. For heavier sources we schedule hourly or nightly. You pick based on what the reports need.

Do I need a warehouse already?

No. If you don't have one, we help you pick one and set it up as part of the first delivery. Common starting points are Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or a small Postgres start.

Which Piwik Pro objects do you pull?

Apps, meta sites, goals, custom dimensions, audiences, customers, users, audit log entries and annotation records in the default sync. The full list sits in the data-model section on this page. Raw event-level data can be added on a per-project basis depending on the Piwik Pro plan.
