SnelStart was founded in 1982 in Alkmaar and has grown into one of the most widely used accounting platforms in the Netherlands, with more than 165,000 entrepreneurs and bookkeepers on it. It covers bookkeeping, invoicing, VAT filing, inventory and a direct line into most Dutch banks, aimed squarely at SMEs and zzp'ers who need a tool that stays manageable.

The point of pulling SnelStart into a warehouse is that the owner of the business rarely asks the same question as the accountant. Who owns the data?

You do. It lands in your warehouse, on your cloud account. We don't resell or aggregate it. If you stop working with us, the warehouse stays yours and keeps running.

How fresh is the data?

Near real time for most operational systems. For heavier sources we schedule hourly or nightly. You pick based on what the reports need.

Do I need a warehouse already?

No. If you don't have one, we help you pick one and set it up as part of the first delivery. Common starting points are Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or a small Postgres start.

Does the sync support multiple SnelStart administrations?

Yes. Each administration lands in its own schema with a shared contact and chart-of-accounts dimension on top. Bookkeepers and groups with several administrations can report per client, per portfolio or at group level without merging data by hand.

Is Dutch VAT handled natively in the warehouse?

Yes. VAT codes, rates and reverse-charge indicators come across on every journal entry so input and output VAT can be totalled per period, rate and jurisdiction. The Dutch VAT return and intra-EU listings become a report, not a re-coding exercise.
