About Billit

The platform behind the Belgian e-invoicing mandate.

Billit was founded in Ghent in 2014 and now sits inside the Unifiedpost group. It serves more than 300,000 Belgian freelancers, SMEs and accounting firms, with Peppol support that has been a first-class feature since day one. From 2026, structured e-invoicing becomes mandatory for every Belgian business, and Billit is one of the main paths most firms take to get there.

The point of pulling Billit into a warehouse is that the mandate produces a byproduct most companies are not ready to exploit. Every invoice is structured data on both sides, not a PDF that someone has to read. Next to your accounting, CRM and bank data, that Peppol stream becomes a live source for AR aging, supplier concentration, VAT prep and margin per customer. Most Belgian firms will still look at the PDF.

What your Billit data is for

What you get once Billit is connected.

Invoice-backed reporting

AR aging, VAT prep and margin per customer tied to the structured Peppol stream.

  • AR aging and DSO per customer and segment
  • VAT preparation ready by period, rate and jurisdiction
  • Margin per customer net of credit notes and rebates

Invoice automation

Let the stack react to every Billit invoice the moment it moves.

  • Peppol invoices posted into Exact Online or Yuki
  • Payment status back to HubSpot or Teamleader Focus
  • Supplier invoices triggering AP review in the accounting system

AI workflows

Use Billit history to score risk and classify documents.

  • Late-payer scoring per customer and segment
  • Line-item classification on incoming supplier invoices
  • Fraud and duplicate-invoice detection on the Peppol stream

Custom apps on your data

Internal tools on Billit data for people who should not log into Billit.

  • Receivables lookup for account managers before a renewal
  • Finance-side VAT dashboard ready for the return
  • Peppol event viewer for the compliance officer

Real business questions

Answers you will finally get.

Which customers have slipped on payment behaviour this year?

Twelve-month DSO trend per customer, ranked by how far their own average has drifted. Flags the account whose payment cadence has quietly worsened before it becomes a provisions conversation.

Are we double-paying any supplier?

Duplicate-detection across the inbound Peppol stream on supplier id, amount, date and reference. Surfaces the lookalike invoice that already cleared last month, before the second payment runs.

Is the VAT return going to reconcile without a scramble?

Output and input VAT totals per period, rate and jurisdiction, reconciled against the sales and purchase journals. Shows the period-end number days before the filing, so an error gets fixed at the invoice, not at the return.

Value for everyone in the organisation

Where each function gets value.

For finance leaders

AR aging, DSO trend and VAT preparation tied to the Peppol stream, not to a spreadsheet next to Billit. Month-end closes on the data that is already structured in the invoice.

For sales leaders

Open receivables per account visible before you extend new credit, with late-payer scoring on the customer record. A deal worth winning is only worth winning if the customer pays on time.

For operations

Supplier concentration, payment-term trends and duplicate-invoice risk on one board. Procurement and AP decisions move from gut feel to the data the Peppol stream already carries.

Ideas

What you can automate with Billit.

Pair with Exact Online

Post Billit invoices into Exact Online

Outgoing and incoming Billit invoices land in Exact Online with VAT codes, ledger mapping and customer or supplier master respected. The Belgian books stay in Exact Online while the Peppol mandate is handled at the point of invoice.

Pair with Yuki

Send Billit invoices into Yuki administrations

Belgian entities running bookkeeping in Yuki get their outgoing Billit invoices posted as sales journal entries and their Peppol inbound routed as supplier invoices. Credit notes match back so the Yuki open-items screen stays honest.

Pair with Teamleader Focus

Chain Teamleader Focus invoices through Billit for Peppol

Invoices prepared in Teamleader Focus are sent via Billit for Peppol delivery, with delivery status and payment flowing back to the Focus invoice record. Service businesses keep their quote-to-invoice workflow in Focus and still comply with the Belgian mandate.

Pair with Ponto

Match Billit invoices to Ponto bank transactions

Incoming Ponto bank transactions are matched to the Billit invoices they settle on bank account, amount and reference. The receivables screen in Billit reflects what the bank already cleared, without waiting for the next accounting export.

Data model

Tables we make available.

These are the 6 tables we currently pull from Billit into your warehouse. Query them directly in SQL, join them to the rest of your stack, or build reports on top.

  • Account Information
  • Documents
  • Invoice Lines
  • Invoices
  • Parties
  • Products

Missing a table you need? We can extend the sync. Tell us what is missing and we will build it for you.

Your existing tools

Your data lands in a warehouse. Your BI tools read from it.

You keep the reporting tool you already have. We connect it to the warehouse where your Billit data lives.

Three steps

From Billit to answers in three steps.

01

Connect securely

OAuth authentication. Read-only by default. We sign a DPA and your admin keeps the keys.

02

Land in your warehouse

Data flows into your warehouse on your schedule. Near real time or nightly, your call. You own the data.

03

Reporting, automation, AI

We build the first dashboard, workflow or AI feature with you, then hand over the keys. Or we stay on for ongoing delivery.

Two ways to work with us

Pick the track that fits how you work.

Track 01

Self-serve

We set up the foundation. Your team builds on top.

  • Billit connector configured and running
  • Warehouse set up in your cloud account
  • Clean access for your Power BI, Fabric or Tableau team
  • Documentation on what's in the data model
  • Sync monitoring so you're warned before reports break

Best fit Teams that already have a BI analyst or data engineer and want to own the build.

Track 02

Done for you

We build the whole thing, end to end.

  • Everything in Self-serve
  • Dashboards built to the questions your team actually asks
  • Automations between your systems
  • AI workflows scoped to real tasks your team runs
  • Custom apps where a dashboard does not cut it
  • Ongoing delivery at a pace that fits your team

Best fit Teams without in-house BI or dev capacity. You tell us what you need and we deliver it.

Before you book

Frequently asked questions.

Who owns the data?

You do. It lands in your warehouse, on your cloud account. We don't resell or aggregate it. If you stop working with us, the warehouse stays yours and keeps running.

How fresh is the data?

Near real time for most operational systems. For heavier sources we schedule hourly or nightly. You pick based on what the reports need.

Do I need a warehouse already?

No. If you don't have one, we help you pick one and set it up as part of the first delivery. Common starting points are Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or a small Postgres start.

Does the sync include Peppol inbound as well as outbound invoices?

Yes. Outgoing and incoming Peppol invoices both land in the warehouse as structured documents, with the full envelope, line items, attachments and status history. That makes supplier concentration, duplicate detection and AR aging all work on the same dataset, not only on what you sent.

Does the sync handle multiple Billit companies?

Yes. Each Billit company lands in its own schema with a shared customer and supplier dimension on top. Groups running several Belgian entities get per-entity VAT and AR reporting plus a consolidated view, without merging invoice lists by hand.
