A signed delivery note in Smooth opens the matching goods receipt against the purchase order in Business Central, with the supplier, project and quantities carried over. The three-way match between order, delivery and invoice runs on the delivery the site actually accepted, instead of on a paper note keyed in later.
For teams that run their billing through Billit, an order delivered and confirmed in Smooth carries its data into Billit so the invoice goes out against the delivery it belongs to. The invoice references the delivery note the site signed, which keeps the order-to-invoice trail intact per project and supplier from the first delivery to the paid invoice.
