About IonBiz

The Belgian project ERP for ICT, engineering and consultancy firms.

IonBiz is a Mechelen-built business platform for project-driven services firms, covering project management, resource planning, time and expense registration, CRM, procurement, helpdesk ticketing and Peppol-compliant e-invoicing in one stack. The vendor reports more than 24,000 users across 150-plus organisations, with engineering, ICT, consultancy and architecture firms as the typical buyers.

The point of pulling IonBiz into a warehouse is that project margin leaks the way it always has in services firms, only across more dimensions: hours per consultant, billable rates per skill, contract types, fixed-price overruns, ticket SLAs, subcontractor cost. IonBiz already exposes an OData feed for Power BI users, so the data is reachable. The work is sitting that feed next to your CRM, your accounting ledger and your HR data, so billable hours, project P&L and pipeline coverage stop being three separate spreadsheets glued together once a month.

What your IonBiz data is for

What you get once IonBiz is connected.

Project and billable-hours reporting

Hours, invoices, tickets and project margin per consultant, project and client.

  • Billable hours per consultant and skill, rolling weeks
  • Project margin against budget on fixed-price and time-and-material
  • Ticket SLA performance per service contract

Project automation

Let IonBiz events drive the rest of your stack.

  • Approved timesheets push Peppol invoices via Billit
  • Won opportunities in CRM open the IonBiz project skeleton
  • Closed tickets update SharePoint client folders

AI workflows

Use project history to forecast risk and demand.

  • Margin-risk scoring per fixed-price project, week by week
  • Demand forecast per skill and quarter against pipeline
  • Subcontractor mix optimisation against project profile

Custom apps on your data

Internal tools on IonBiz data for delivery leads and partners.

  • Delivery-lead board with at-risk projects this sprint
  • Partner workbench with billable-hours and pipeline coverage
  • Resource-request app that staffs from real availability

Real business questions

Answers you will finally get.

Which fixed-price projects are quietly going underwater this month?

Burned hours against the contracted budget per project, with the slope of the last four weeks. Ranks the projects whose burn rate has overtaken the remaining budget, which is where steering-committee surprises usually come from.

Does the next quarter's pipeline match the consultants we have available?

Open opportunities weighted by stage against forecast capacity per skill and quarter, with end-of-contract dates on the same view. Hire-or-subcontract conversations move forward to the quarter before the bench tilts.

Where is realisation slipping below the rate card?

Average invoiced rate against contracted rate per skill, customer and project type. Exposes the customers and skills where day rates have quietly drifted, which the average-rate slide in the partner pack tends to hide.

Value for everyone in the organisation

Where each function gets value.

For finance leaders

Project margin, work-in-progress and realisation tied to timesheet, invoice and rate-card data. Year-end surprises on fixed-price contracts give way to a weekly view of which projects are eating the budget.

For sales leaders

Pipeline coverage, win rate and rate-card slippage per account manager. Forecast conversations move from gut feel to opportunities weighted against the bench you have available next quarter.

For operations

Utilisation, timesheet completeness, ticket SLAs and resource demand on one board. Resourcing decisions happen against real availability, not against the loudest project lead in the staffing meeting.

Ideas

What you can automate with IonBiz.

Pair with Exact Online

Post IonBiz invoices to Exact Online

Approved IonBiz invoices flow into Exact Online with customer, VAT and ledger coding aligned. Project leads keep working in IonBiz, finance closes the month in Exact, and the audit trail stays consistent without double entry.

Pair with Billit

Send IonBiz invoices over Peppol via Billit

Invoices generated from IonBiz timesheets and projects ship over the Peppol network through Billit, with status and payment events flowing back. Public-sector and large-corporate clients receive structured e-invoices and DSO drops without a separate manual step.

Pair with Power BI

Connect IonBiz to Power BI on a clean model

Instead of pulling IonBiz tables one at a time over OData into a Power BI report that breaks on the next field rename, IonBiz lands in your warehouse and Power BI reads from a clean dimensional model. Visuals stay stable when the IonBiz schema shifts.

Pair with HubSpot

Open IonBiz projects from HubSpot won deals

When a HubSpot deal flips to closed-won, the matching IonBiz project skeleton is created with customer, contract type, contracted rate and assigned account manager carried over. The handover from sales to delivery loses the spreadsheet step.

Pair with Jira

Roll Jira engineering hours into IonBiz projects

Hours logged against Jira issues post into the matching IonBiz project and task, so engineering teams stay in their tool of record while delivery leads see one project budget. The double timesheet conversation goes away.

Pair with Microsoft SharePoint

Mirror IonBiz project folders in SharePoint

New IonBiz projects spawn the matching SharePoint folder structure with customer, project number and access groups set from the IonBiz record. Closed tickets and approved deliverables file themselves to the right folder, so the audit doesn't start with a folder hunt.

Pair with Workday

Align Workday cost rates with IonBiz timesheets

Internal cost rates from Workday flow into IonBiz, so project margin uses the consultant's actual fully-loaded cost. Year-end margin reviews stop relying on a flat blended rate that nobody believes anymore.

Three steps

From IonBiz to answers in three steps.

01

Connect securely

OAuth authentication. Read-only by default. We sign a DPA and your admin keeps the keys.

02

Land in your warehouse

Data flows into your warehouse on your schedule. Near real time or nightly, your call. You own the data.

03

Reporting, automation, AI

We build the first dashboard, workflow or AI feature with you, then hand over the keys. Or we stay on for ongoing delivery.

Two ways to work with us

Pick the track that fits how you work.

Track 01

Self-serve

We set up the foundation. Your team builds on top.

  • IonBiz connector configured and running
  • Warehouse set up in your cloud account
  • Clean access for your Power BI, Fabric or Tableau team
  • Documentation on what's in the data model
  • Sync monitoring so you're warned before reports break

Best fit Teams that already have a BI analyst or data engineer and want to own the build.

Track 02

Done for you

We build the whole thing, end to end.

  • Everything in Self-serve
  • Dashboards built to the questions your team actually asks
  • Automations between your systems
  • AI workflows scoped to real tasks your team runs
  • Custom apps where a dashboard does not cut it
  • Ongoing delivery at a pace that fits your team

Best fit Teams without in-house BI or dev capacity. You tell us what you need and we deliver it.

Before you book

Frequently asked questions.

Who owns the data?

You do. It lands in your warehouse, on your cloud account. We don't resell or aggregate it. If you stop working with us, the warehouse stays yours and keeps running.

How fresh is the data?

Near real time for most operational systems. For heavier sources we schedule hourly or nightly. You pick based on what the reports need.

Do I need a warehouse already?

No. If you don't have one, we help you pick one and set it up as part of the first delivery. Common starting points are Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or a small Postgres start.

We already have the IonBiz OData feed in Power BI. Why move to a warehouse?

OData straight into Power BI works for a single report and a single source. Once you want IonBiz next to your CRM, your accounting ledger and your HR data, the OData approach starts pulling tables individually for every report and breaks on schema changes. Landing IonBiz in your warehouse keeps Power BI working and adds the rest of the firm's data on the same model.

Does the sync handle multi-entity firms with separate legal companies?

Yes. Each legal entity lands with the right dimension and project numbering is preserved. Group networks get per-entity billable hours and project margin plus a consolidated view, without merging timesheet exports by hand at month-end.
