About MS Dynamics 365 CRM

The CRM that lives inside the Microsoft stack.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a set of business apps that includes Sales, Customer Service, Customer Insights, Field Service and Marketing on the CRM side, and Business Central and Finance & Operations on the ERP side. Organisations that standardised on Microsoft tend to run the whole stack, with the CRM apps connected to Outlook, Teams, Power BI and the shared Dataverse.

The point of pulling Dynamics 365 CRM into a warehouse is that the Microsoft stack is broad and the useful questions cross apps. Sales-order timing from Sales to Business Central, service-ticket volume per account, marketing attribution across Customer Insights, expansion potential from product usage. These live in different apps, and the Power BI workspace that tries to stitch them together rarely survives a year. In a warehouse, Dynamics CRM becomes the commercial spine that lines up cleanly with the rest.

What your MS Dynamics 365 CRM data is for

What you get once MS Dynamics 365 CRM is connected.

Cross-Microsoft reporting

Sales, service and ERP numbers on one account view instead of three Power BI workspaces.

  • Pipeline-to-revenue timing across Dynamics and Business Central
  • Service case volume and cost per account
  • Marketing attribution tied to closed-won and invoiced revenue

Cross-app automation

Let Dynamics events drive the rest of the stack without custom Power Automate glue.

  • Closed-won into Business Central sales orders
  • Service case signal into CRM account risk
  • Marketing-qualified into Sales with full campaign context

AI workflows

Use the full account history for scoring beyond Copilot defaults.

  • Deal-close probability on stage, rep and industry history
  • Churn-risk scoring on service and billing signal
  • Lead scoring on behaviour beyond form fills

Custom apps on your data

Internal tools on Dynamics data for people without a Dynamics licence.

  • Exec pipeline view reconciled with booked revenue
  • CS workbench with open cases and contract value
  • Sales-ops board with activity-to-outcome mapping

Real business questions

Answers you will finally get.

How long between closed-won and booked revenue in BC?

Dynamics opportunity tracked to Business Central sales order, shipment, invoice and paid, with elapsed days at each hop. Shows where the commercial-to-operational handoff lengthens the cycle, per rep, product and subsidiary.

Which service cases are predicting churn this quarter?

Case volume, severity and CSAT over the ninety days before renewal, ranked by account contract value. Surfaces the accounts whose service signal says they are planning to leave before the CRM field says so.

Which marketing campaigns produced customers who paid?

Customer Insights campaign attribution matched to closed-won opportunities and to Business Central invoices twelve months later. Separates campaigns that drove pipeline from campaigns that drove revenue.

Value for everyone in the organisation

Where each function gets value.

For finance leaders

Pipeline, order and revenue on one timeline across Dynamics and Business Central. Forecast accuracy is checked against invoiced revenue in the Microsoft ledger, not against CRM stage optimism.

For sales leaders

Full account history with sales, service and marketing signal, per rep and territory. Coaching moves from gut feel to the specific activity mix that closed similar deals.

For operations

Service case load, field-service utilisation and cross-entity pipeline in one view. Staffing and entity-level allocation decisions are made on actuals, not on the Power BI report nobody updates.

Ideas

What you can automate with MS Dynamics 365 CRM.

Pair with MS Dynamics 365 Business Central

Hand closed-won Dynamics opportunities to Business Central

Closed-won Dynamics opportunities create Business Central sales orders with customer, item and pricing mapped in the right entity. Invoice and revenue state flow back to the opportunity, so Sales and Finance read the same cycle in the same stack.

Pair with Shopify

Surface Shopify orders on Dynamics accounts

Shopify customer and order history push onto the matching Dynamics 365 account as timeline activity and custom fields. Account managers see which accounts also buy through DTC and can prioritise expansion on full purchase signal.

Pair with Intercom

Show Intercom support load on Dynamics accounts

Open Intercom tickets, recent CSAT and conversation topics land on the Dynamics 365 account as first-class fields. Renewal and QBR reviews see the accounts whose support signal is rising without leaving the CRM.

Pair with Mixpanel

Bring Mixpanel product usage into Dynamics

Aggregate Mixpanel usage signals push onto Dynamics accounts so account executives see adoption and churn risk on the same record as pipeline and service. Expansion conversations start from usage, not from rep optimism.

Data model

Tables we make available.

These are the 2 tables we currently pull from MS Dynamics 365 CRM into your warehouse. Query them directly in SQL, join them to the rest of your stack, or build reports on top.

  • Contacts

Missing a table you need? We can extend the sync. Tell us what is missing and we will build it for you.

Your existing tools

Your data lands in a warehouse. Your BI tools read from it.

You keep the reporting tool you already have. We connect it to the warehouse where your MS Dynamics 365 CRM data lives.

Three steps

From MS Dynamics 365 CRM to answers in three steps.

01

Connect securely

OAuth authentication. Read-only by default. We sign a DPA and your admin keeps the keys.

02

Land in your warehouse

Data flows into your warehouse on your schedule. Near real time or nightly, your call. You own the data.

03

Reporting, automation, AI

We build the first dashboard, workflow or AI feature with you, then hand over the keys. Or we stay on for ongoing delivery.

Two ways to work with us

Pick the track that fits how you work.

Track 01

Self-serve

We set up the foundation. Your team builds on top.

  • MS Dynamics 365 CRM connector configured and running
  • Warehouse set up in your cloud account
  • Clean access for your Power BI, Fabric or Tableau team
  • Documentation on what's in the data model
  • Sync monitoring so you're warned before reports break

Best fit Teams that already have a BI analyst or data engineer and want to own the build.

Track 02

Done for you

We build the whole thing, end to end.

  • Everything in Self-serve
  • Dashboards built to the questions your team actually asks
  • Automations between your systems
  • AI workflows scoped to real tasks your team runs
  • Custom apps where a dashboard does not cut it
  • Ongoing delivery at a pace that fits your team

Best fit Teams without in-house BI or dev capacity. You tell us what you need and we deliver it.

Before you book

Frequently asked questions.

Who owns the data?

You do. It lands in your warehouse, on your cloud account. We don't resell or aggregate it. If you stop working with us, the warehouse stays yours and keeps running.

How fresh is the data?

Near real time for most operational systems. For heavier sources we schedule hourly or nightly. You pick based on what the reports need.

Do I need a warehouse already?

No. If you don't have one, we help you pick one and set it up as part of the first delivery. Common starting points are Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or a small Postgres start.

How do you pull Dynamics 365 CRM data?

Dataverse is the primary path, via the native export to Azure Data Lake or Synapse Link, with Web API as a fallback where the export is not enabled. Custom entities, choice columns and relationship metadata are preserved so reports can use them as first-class fields.

How is row-level and field-level security respected?

Business unit, team and security-role metadata come across with the data so reporting can mirror the access model that Dynamics itself enforces. Sensitive fields are scoped in the warehouse before they reach a dashboard that was not approved to see them.
